Statment

This project is called ‘Visible/Invisible Frame’, with strategies to use the visible frame to dissolve the invisible frame. The first part of the project is ‘Discover the Beauty of Daily Life’, Qinghu residents were invited as moment designers using frames to find the neglected aesthetics in the old village, those humble and tenacious power. Twenty-six wonderful moments were selected, we expressed and described those beauty to show the thoughts, engraved it on the frame and installed in the old village.

The other part of the project is called ‘Reform Public Space’, by establishing a spectacular system to redefine the public space and providing a visual platform to observe the relationship between people and the surrounding environment as well as self-reflection.
What is the role for those people live in the urban village? The old village is broken, old and smelly, but this is the only place they can afford in this booming city, they shouldn’t be forced into displacement and leave in a limited period.
